Canterbury Retreat Center
Have you ever been given permission to wait in silence? Holy anticipation to silence and stillness is an experience that, when tasted, is sweet to the soul. To wait for God in silence demands that we pay attention. It demands that we come to terms with the noise that we surround ourselves with every day and decide how we will find the space in order to hear God’s voice.
Silence allows us to actively pursue a new experience with God. In Psalm 46:10, the Psalmist urges us to “Be still and know that He is God.” This is a beautiful invitation by God to know Him more intimately through stillness.
This retreat will be filled with a holy expectancy to experience God in new ways through directed stillness and silence.
The weekend will include limited spiritual direction and a strong encouragement to rest and renew the body, mind, and soul. Meals will be enjoyed together and can be taken either in silence or in conversation with other participants.
In preparation for the retreat, several resources will be recommended prior to attending.
The retreat will be limited to 32 women.
